The Air Force Academy has reinstated a basketball player suspended for his alleged role in a cheating incident.
Dan Nwaelele missed six games. But the academy commandant, Brigadier General Johnny Weida, cleared Nwaele of cheating in a decision announced Thursday.
Academy officials did not specify why Nwaelele was cleared.
Six cadets were originally found in violation of the honor code by a cadet-run board. Four other cadets also were cleared by Weida.
The status of the fifth cadet was not disclosed.
