If the "do it yourself" policy applies to Christmas trees for you, the U.S. Forest Service has some good news.
The Forest Service has opened 4 Front Range Christmas tree-cutting areas beginning Saturday.
The areas are in the Pike, Arapahoe, and Roosevelt National Forests.
Anyone who buys a $10 permit can cut down a tree in designated areas until December 12th.
The permits are required before entering the cutting areas and are limited to 5 per person.
