Thief Steals Holiday Decorations
A grinch is stealing holiday cheer from one Colorado Springs family. Holiday inflatables, that were on the family's front lawn, disappeared over night about a week ago.

I could not agree with you more. I have lost over $600.00 worth of Halloween decor this year and in years past hundreds and hundreds of dollars at X-Mas. We now have cameras and I just caught someone walking from a dark corner of my front yard. No doubt they were going to steal until I walked up upon them!!! I hate a THIEF they are the scum of our society!!!!!!!!!!!! Whether they are adults or teenagers!!!!!!!!!

I will not Christmas shop downtown until the city gets enough guts to put up some CHRISTMAS decorations. Whatever that is they have hung on the poles downtown is certainly not representative of CHRISTMAS. Why do we give in to the minority?

I just take offense that you would assume teenagers have nothing better to do than go to Flintridge and Academy to steal your Christmas decorations. In my area, its the old poor ladies who steal garden gnomes and other outdoor decorations out of your yard to put in their yards. Yes I know thats petty, but thats what I see. you might want to blame the ultra liberal god hating hippy ACLU types, or the creepy guy down the street who is more likely to take a religous decoration out of public sight just to spite Christians or happy families. Im sorry you spite me, but if any of my homies have your decorations, then I will make them return it. ok?

I agree with you Where it Was. I would be very upset if this happened to me. I have 2 kids, so I know how devestating this must be to have someone steal your stuff that was meant for your kids. I really hope you find everything that was stolen from you. Or better yet, the people that did this. My prayers are with you.

Your Welcome,I guess they didn't post the location to try to prevent us from being victims again, as you can see just by some of the comments on here , some people have some much extra time they can only be hateful and smart a**es . I guess I sound bitter towards alot when its only a few I am truely mad at, but you know when you home or yard has been vilated and your things you work hard for are taken you earn right to be a bit bitter in my book

Yeah, you know what kills me? The hate in this city. All the "so-called" scenery can't overcome the self-centered/self-righteous people in Colorado Springs.

Thank you for posting the location, which KKTV seemed unwilling to do. I'm sorry you were the victim and hope you and your daughter get your things back, and that the vandals get theirs...

It's was my decorstions stolen, and as far as my daughter saying it was teenagers and they went in the trash or a pawnshop, yes she heard it from me! i have not seen any 60 year old out lately stealing so I must presume it was someone young who has not been stolen from or they would not do it to others, and as fair as a pawnshop I would like to think i could be so lucky they would show up there, but as my daughter put it they are likely long in the trash, after all they didnt even get the plug for one! :o( I am not assamed of what my daughter said it was not vulgar or hateful or inappropriate just part of a conversation she overheard and took to heart. Are things being stolen were hateful and wrong.

This whole story seems seedy to me. The news is quoting a 5 year old, Phantom teenagers are being blamed, no one knows where it occured... I wonder if a police report was ever issues. Judging by the bush in the corner of the pic, I would say it's in an older neighborhood. I need to get to the pawnshop to get me an inflatable turkey now... Besides, I bet the wind just blew the decorations away.

I wonder if this was the same vandal who went through our neighborhood last week smashing pumpkins. There were smashed pumpkins on every street around our house near Flintridge and Academy. As my oldest said- Karma will get them. I can only hope.

Yeah, where was it? You know what else kills me, the 5 year old who says she knows it was teenagers and they threw them away or took them to a PAWN SHOP! What does a 5 year old know about pawn shops? Why quote a 5 year old? Ha! I guess CSPD should start searching pawn shops for an inflatable turkey based on the hunch of a 5 year old.

I TOTALLY feel for this family, My house has been hit 5 times! Things stolen from my front yard, even some southwestern suns I had hanging on my house. It's so irritating that these #@* Creeps can't leave peoples things alone. My kids want Christmas decorations, and I'm afraid to put them out as I'm sure someone will put their greasy hands on them and take it. It's a shame, we can't enjoy anything any more for fear of criminals! I hope someone saw something and these low down scum are caught!
