The Colorado Springs Airport was closed for a couple of hours Thursday evening, after police say a man threatened to blow it up.
John Ondracek was taken into custody after a cab driver picked him up at a hotel.
The driver said Ondracek told him he had explosives in his bags, and wanted to be dropped off at the airport.
The Denver man was arrested, and no one was allowed in or out of the airport as his bags were screened.
Authorities say they sent Ondracek's luggage through X-rays and found no explosives.
Traffic into and out of the airport terminal then returned to normal. Police say they aren't clear if Ondracek is an American citizen.
There is also the possibility he had been in the Colorado State
Hospital in the 1970s or 1980s.
He now may face local charges of false reporting of explosives, and possible federal charges since the FBI is also investigating.
