A national magazine gives Colorado Springs an unflattering review because of high rates of violence against women.
Self magazine list Colorado Springs as the second worst among major cities for violence against women. The Springs also got low ratings because of a high suicide rate and a low percentage of women getting mammograms.
The magazine draws its facts from crime stats and the amount of health care available for domestic crime victims.
It does give the city high rankings for the physical health of women, ranking the city 130th out of 200.
