Redistricting Revisited

The state's redistricting battle is back.

A panel of federal judges has revived the last remaining lawsuit stemming from the battle that erupted last year.

The lawsuit demands a Republican-backed map replace the current map that was drafted in 2002.

Democrats sued to abolish the revised map saying the state constitution allows redistricting to occur only once per decade. The state Supreme Court agreed.

But now, a second lawsuit has been filed by four state lawmakers who say the Supreme Court's rejection violates the U.S. Constitution.

Both sides will argue their cases November 12th.
