Number 30 is lending his support to Amendment 30.
Former Denver Broncos running back Terrell Davis began appearing in ads supporting an initiative to allow Coloradans to register and vote the same day.
Davis' agent says he usually declines opportunities to endorse candidates or issues. The agent says Davis does not see any downside to Amendment 30.
Coloradans for Fair Elections spokeswoman Katy Atkinson has written an open letter to Davis saying that Amendment 30 has many downsides.
Atkinson compares charging into an opposing football team's defensive line without protection to Colorado voters heading into election day without protection from fraud.
