A 13 year old Pueblo boy is dead after being hit by a car. But, police do not plan to file any charges against the driver.
Kenny Archuleta was struck as he walked home from a school softball game with two friends. Police say all three teens began to cross the Highway 50 bypass at Troy avenue when, at the last minute, Archuleta dashed into traffic.
Pueblo Police are investigating the accident, but say at this point, they do not plan to cite the driver. Their preliminary investigation shows the driver had a green light when he hit the boy, and is, therefore, not at fault.
Archuleta was a student at Risley Middle School. Students and staff there will meet Friday to plan a candle light vigil in his memory.
