Senator Elizabeth Dole will campaign for President Bush next month in Colorado and six other swing states.
She hopes to help persuade women to vote Republican in the presidential race. She also plans to stump for the president in Minnesota, Wisconsin, New Mexico, Iowa, Florida and Pennsylvania, casting the president as the leader who will protect families from terrorists.
Dole is nationally known and is a member of the Senate Armed
Services Committee. Her visits to swing states come as the Bush
campaign is trying to attract the support of women concerned about
security. Pollsters say the terrorism issue helps Bush among women.
