A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect at NOON and last through MIDNIGHT from most of Southern Colorado. Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain once again. Burn scars and areas that saw heavy rain yesterday will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
A fatal crash in Huerfano County is under investigation.
One person was killed and three were injured in the two-car crash, which happened at milepost 41 around 7:45 a.m. Saturday. The crash site is near the Huerfano/Las Animas county line.
The three injured were all transported to a Walsenburg hospital. The deceased died at the scene.
There is no information at this time on what may have caused the crash. Colorado State Patrol continues to investigate.
