"Prison Break" star, Wentworth Miller, reveals he's gay.

On Wednesday, the 41 year-old actor came out in a letter to the Petersburg International Film Festival director, which was later posted on GLAAD's website.

The festival director invited Miller to attend the festival, but he turned it down citing Russia's anti-LGBT laws.

Miller thanked organizers for the "kind invitation", but noted, "as a gay man, I must decline."

Miller has been featured on "House, M.D." and "E.R."

He portrayed Michael Scofield on "Prison Break" from 2005-2009.
