LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Coroner's officials have ruled Whitney Houston died by drowning, but heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors.

The announcement Thursday ends weeks of speculation about what killed the Grammy-winning singer on Feb. 11.

Houston was found submerged in the bathtub of her room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on the eve of the Grammy Awards.

Several bottles of prescription medications were found in her hotel room, but coroner's officials said they weren't in excessive quantities.

Coroner's spokesman Craig Harvey says cocaine metabolites were found in Houston's system, and it was listed as a contributing factor in her death. He says the results indicated Houston was a chronic cocaine user.

Cocaine a contributing factor to drowning?? Ya ummm NO! Where do people come up with such stories. Cocaine was a factor in Whitneys life going downhill, not with her drowning in a bath tub.

Whats to explain she was a drug addict. And they lowered the flag to half mast for her? There is some explaining needed for that.

Someone that was there when she was found dead, got rid of the cocaine evidence in the 2 minutes it took the paramedics to show up. This person is said to be the one that supplied her with it. Someone's got some explaining to do!

Really, you actually care about who gave it to her?? She was a grown woman, she would have got it from anyone! OR BIG OR, she took it before she took the bath and had none left....no one has to explain anything. Junkies will always find someone to get their drugs from.
