Lawyers for Michael Jackson's mother say the family is pleased that Katherine Jackson will be the guardian of her son's three children, under an agreement with his ex-wife.
Deborah Rowe will have visitation rights under the supervision of a child psychologist.
A statement from attorneys says no money is changing hands as a result of the agreement.
Michael Jackson was the sole parent to his three children, who range in age from 7 to 12.
Rowe is the biological mother of the two oldest children, but has been largely absent from their lives.
Rowe's attorney calls the agreement a "dignified outcome." Katherine Jackson's lawyers say all the parties were united in a goal of doing what's best for the children.
Jackson has been caring for her grandchildren since her son's death June 25.
