Facebook Rolling Out New Features To Battle Cyber-Bullying

With cyber-bullying a growing problem among children and teens, Facebook is implementing new features to help combat the issue.

The social network giant says it is adding tools to help victims of harassment and bullying more easily report these problems. Teen users will have more options when classifying unwanted posts from others, and will also be given a short survey to rank how serious the issue is.

For the worst cases, users will be directed to Facebook's suicide chat hotline or other professional means of help.

Another change coming to Facebook: complaints about photos and tagging. The new system will make it easier to distinguish between offensive photos like pornography or hate speech, and personal pictures that might embarrassing, but not actually crossing any lines.

Facebook says the changes will be available to all American users this week.
