The latest numbers from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicate that a total of 133 people were infected with listeria after eating contaminated cantaloupes grown at Jensen Farms. Of those, 28 have died and one pregnant woman had a miscarriage.

The outbreak has spread to 26 states. It was traced back to the Rocky Ford-brand melons from Jensen Farms.

Cantaloupes from other locations are safe to eat, but any Jensen Farms melons should be thrown away.

A report by the FDA traced the outbreak to Jensen Farm's packing facility.
