The federal government is giving Colorado more than $26 million to enroll more children in health insurance.
Colorado is one of the 23 states to share more than $296 million in federal performance bonuses this year.
To qualify for the payments, states must surpass their Medicaid enrollment target, as well as improve access to Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
Colorado was also a recipient of the performance bonus in 2010.
