We really turned a corner with the weather this weekend. That can be said of what's going around as well. Last week, it was flu-like symptoms. This week, local doctors say there isn't much going around at all. But they do have some advice for you.

Dr. Caroline Rowlands with Colorado Springs Health Partners is on the southwest side of town. She says now is the time to get sports physicals and well child care visits. Dr. Rowlands says everyone is going to try to get this done right before school starts. So do it now to avoid the late summer rush.

Dr. Steven Reich advises the same thing. He's also with Colorado Springs Health Partners on the southwest side of town. But he also advises some good summer safety precautions. That includes sunscreen, bike helmets and staying away from fireworks.
