There wasn't time to look up any books on obstetrics before a woman gave birth in the Denver Public Library.
Library spokeswoman Celeste Jackson says the woman walked into the library Tuesday, saying she had been riding a city bus and was in labor.
Staffers and security guards helped until paramedics arrived and delivered the baby just inside the entrance. The mother and baby girl were then taken to Denver Health Medical Center.
The mother and child are doing well, but the hospital has not released any other information about them.
The woman is expected to talk to the media and introduce her daughter Wednesday morning at the hospital.
