A recent outbreak of salmonella poisoning is hitting the state of Colorado.
The Colorado Health Department says there are nine confirmed cases of salmonella across the state. One of those cases was in El Paso County.
One person has been hospitalized but the extent of their illness and their current condition has not been released.
The CDC is still investigating the cause of the outbreak.
