Medicare Woes

A new report warns if nothing is done to rein in Medicare spending, access to health care could be threatened for some of the nation’s poorest citizens.

Current spending will far out-pace the growth of the U-S economy over the next decade.

Benefit costs are projected to increase nearly 8-percent a year while the economy is expected to grow less than 5-percent annually.
