"Thumbelina" travels the country to brighten the day for kids at hospitals, special camps and schools, group homes and shelters. Friday, she made a stop in Colorado Springs, visiting kids at Memorial Hospital.
Thumbelina is a dwarf miniature horse. She was born at a miniature horse farm in Missouri. At birth, she stood just 11 inches tall, and weighed 8.5 pounds.
Today, at 17.5 inches tall and 58 pounds, she's recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records as the smallest horse in history.
So what does a horse her size eat? Just one cup of oats and a handful of hay for breakfast and dinner.
We're told she prefers to sleep in a dog house, instead of her stall.
