Kraft Recalls LiveActive Cereals

Kraft Foods has voluntarily recalled nearly 13,000 cases of Post LiveActive Mixed Berry Crunch Cereal because some boxes may contain nuts, which have not been labeled as such.

Health officials are warning people who have an allergy or severe
sensitivity to nuts not to consume the product as they run the risk of a
health problem or illness.

Kraft Foods confirmed the presence of nuts in samples that were
submitted for testing after it received one consumer report of an
allergic reaction.

Only boxes in 13-ounce retail cartons with a “Best When Used By”
date of December 17, 2008 and a Universal Product Code (UPC) of
00430000238900 are affected.

The affected cereal was distributed nationwide through retail outlets.
A Kraft Foods representative verified that product had been delivered
nationwide, including Colorado, but could not provide a list of
specific distributors.

Consumers may call 1-866-771-1511 to receive a full refund.
