The Citizens for Effective Government held a public meeting Tuesday to address issues such as public health and safety needs and challenges concerning the Pikes Peak region.
Speakers to included Vice Mayor, Larry Small; El Paso County Sheriff, Terry Maketa; El Paso County Health Department Director, Rosemary Bakes Martin; El Paso County Commissioner, Sallie Clark and Citizens for Effective Government Chairman, Mike Kazmierski.
Organizers say they planned the public meeting to give citizens a chance to speak out about the public health and safety challenges that threaten Colorado Springs residents' quality of life.
