A lack of access to water because of a nearby water main break shut down the El Paso County Department of Health and Environment Monday.
The location impacted is at 301 and 305 S. Union Blvd. Scheduled appointments for Monday were also canceled.
Officials say a water main break at Memorial Park, nearby, caused them to lose access to running water for handwashing or other uses.
Colorado Springs Utility crews are working on repairing the broken pipe.
WIC clinics held at other locations will remain open for regular business hours. WIC Locations:
•North: 4360 Montebello Drive, Suite 500 and 600, Colorado Springs, CO 80918
•Southwest: Lake Plaza, 1257 Lake Plaza Drive, Suite 101, Colorado Springs CO 80906
•Southeast: Lorraine Education/Community Center, 301 E. Iowa, Fountain, CO 80817
The Health Department hopes to reopen for normal business on Tuesday.
