Tuesday is the last chance for voters in Black Forest to cast a ballot to choose the next directors for the Black Forest Fire Board.
Voting starts at 7 a.m. at Black Forest Fire Station One on 11445 Teachout Road, and ends 12 hours later.
As many 400 mail-in ballots were returned to the fire district marked "return to sender." The fire district says the envelopes appear correctly addressed, so they do not know why there was a problem, but caution voters that there is no time to re-mail the ballots. If you did not receive a ballot, be sure to go down Tuesday and vote in person.
If you were among those displaced in the Black Forest Fire last year, but are still registered to vote in Black Forest, you are also encouraged to vote.
Voting officials say interest is at an all-time high for this election.
