People in favor of legalizing marijuana will have to try again to see recreational pot use on the ballot this year.

Friday, the Colorado secretary of state announced that too many signatures on the proposed measure were invalid.

The proposal would have asked if adults over 21 should be able to have small amounts of pot without a doctor's recommendation. Those in favor have 15 days to collect 3,000 valid signatures, or the measure will not be on the ballot in November.
