It may not be a general election or a mid-term, but Tuesday's state election does include several big issues up for a vote.
One issue up for consideration Tuesday: voters will decided whether or not to tax recreational marijuana for the sake of schools and extra enforcement.
There's also Amendment 66, which is a proposed tax increase to fund public schools, preschool through 12th grade. The amendment has received national attention after gaining support from Bill and Melinda Gates, and New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
Also on the ballot Tuesday: some northern Colorado counties will decide whether or not they want to break away from the state to form a separate state.
Ballots must be dropped off by 7 p.m. We have a list of drop-off locations for El Paso County and Pueblo County in our "Find It" section.
