Romney wins GOP primaries in Conn., RI, Delaware

Mitt Romney has added a win in Delaware's Republican presidential primary to GOP victories in Connecticut and Rhode Island.

The three are among a string of five state primaries being held Tuesday. The others are in New York and Pennsylvania.

The five primaries are the first since Rick Santorum suspended his presidential campaign two weeks ago -- essentially conceding the GOP nomination to Romney.

Romney started the day with 698 delegates -- about 400 short of the number he needs to formally gain the nomination this summer at the Republican National Convention. There are 209 delegates at stake in Tuesday's five primaries.

Newt Gingrich had campaigned heavily in Delaware, hoping for a win there.

Why would anyone vote for a man for President of the United States, whose religion believes that if you do not belong to his (Church of the Later Day Saints)that they will go to hell? Not me that's for sure. I go to church just not his! I'll vote for Obama. Come on people, Rome was not built in a day and the President cannot change what other before him did in one term and he told you all that before he won the election. They all are giving us bla, bla, and bla and none of them are telling the truth!!

Well DUH. Who would he lose to? Ron Paul? Paul doesn't stand a chance, not even in the GOP primaries, much less a general election.

It's sad to see that your so moved by the media David. Ron Paul is favored over Romney and Obama by 4%. You are just another case of a government controlled slave.

What are you reading David? Seriously. Why don't you just google it. I don't think your a Romney supporter but dear God man, it's sad to see people so moved by the media. If you Google it and look at non-profit reporting agencies you will see clearly that the media has been accused of false reporting.

I'd pick Paul over Romney (and either over Obummer), but he doesn't stand a snowball's chance.
