WASHINGTON (AP) -- A $400,000 check written to a "super" political action committee supporting Mitt Romney's presidential campaign is rekindling a nagging question: Just how much disclosure is enough to satisfy transparency?

The super PAC Restore Our Future had reported the contribution as coming from a Florida firm called SeaSpray Partners LLC.

But a Florida man who owned a similarly named company in Palm Beach told news organizations that he never donated to the pro-Romney group. It turned out that Restore Our Future had listed the wrong address for the actual SeaSpray donor, but then the group still refused to disclose more about the firm.

An Associated Press review of financial documents discovered that the donors were a Florida husband and wife who have been two of Romney's top Florida fundraisers.
