With the Iowa caucus now behind them, Republican presidential candidates have now shifted their focus to New Hampshire, who will hold their primary next week.

Most of the candidates are expected to campaign in New Hampshire Thursday, but Iowa winner Mitt Romney--who eked out an eight-vote victory against a last-minute surge by Rick Santorum--is taking a detour into South Carolina.

South Carolina is where the nation's third presidential nominating contest will be held. No eventual GOP nominee has ever lost South Carolina. Santorum has visited South Carolina more than any of his opponents.

Winning South Carolina could be a sizable task for Romney, who has been running more than 10 points behind Newt Gingrich in the latest polls out of the state. He placed fourth in the state's primary in 2008.

Romney will campaign with one-time foe John McCain, who endorsed the former Massachusetts governor Wednesday.

Rick Perry, who many thought was dropping out of the race after a dismal performance in Iowa, is also concentrating on South Carolina in lieu of New Hampshire.
