WASHINGTON (AP) -- House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi says Democrats have a chance of reclaiming control of the chamber in next year's election.

The California Democrat tells reporters that the Republican-controlled House has not created any new jobs in the weak economy. She also says Democrats have raised more money than GOP candidates so far this year.

She says that Democrats "have definitely put the House in play."

Republicans currently have a 242-192 House majority, with one vacancy.
