As a further indication the Republican race may be drawing to an end, Mitt Romney has received another endorsement from a prominent Republican.
House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan, a rising star in the Republican party, is endorsed the GOP hopeful Friday, just ahead of the Wisconsin primary April 3. Ryan hails from Wisconsin.
"I am convinced that Mitt Romney has the skills, the tenacity, principles, the courage and integrity to do what it takes to get America on track," Ryan said on Fox News.
Ryan acknowledged his endorsement was partially fueled by a desire to wrap the Republican primary up, which he said had gone on too long and was on the verge of doing more harm than good to the party's presidential aspirations.
Romney already received an endorsement from former President George H. W. Bush Thursday.
