Republicans continue their early voting lead in Colorado.
More than 280,000 Republicans had already cast their ballots by mid-afternoon Wednesday. That's more than 32 percent of the number of active Republicans.
Democrats have turned in less than 240,000 ballots -- a number that makes up less than 30 percent of active Democrats.
Independent voters continue to trail both parties. So far about 150,000 unaffiliated voters have cast their ballots, less than 20 percent of active unaffiliated voters.
The numbers include people who mailed in ballots and people who have visited early voting polling locations.
