Republican Party officials are wrapping up their visit to Denver as they scout out possible locations for their 2016 convention.
After a tour of the Pepsi Center on Tuesday, convention committee members say legal marijuana in Denver won't hinder the city's chances. Denver is also holding its own in fundraising, with nearly $11 million in pledges so far. Host cities have to raise around $60 million.
Denver is competing against Dallas, Cleveland and Kansas City, Missouri. The convention committee heads to Dallas on Thursday.
RNC Chairman Reince Priebus says that logistics are more important than local marijuana laws. He said he's "not a big fan" of legal marijuana but that party officials aren't considering it in their decision.
The committee will announce where it's holding the convention in August.
