Florida's Primary Looms Large For GOP Candidates

The four remaining Republican candidates met for the final time ahead of Tuesday's primary, debating in front of a Florida audience.

Frontrunners Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney clashed over everything from personal finances to illegal immigration.

The candidates have a lot riding on Florida. The winner of the primary takes all 50 of the state's delegates, which will give a big boost. After losing South Carolina, Romney badly needs the victory to end any hemorrhaging to his campaign; Gingrich needs the victory to continue riding on the momentum from his South Carolina win. A win for either man will make him the frontrunner.

Recent polls have showed Romney with a slight edge over Gingrich, with Rick Santorum and Ron Paul trailing far behind.

A number of prominent Republicans have come out against a Gingrich candidacy, including former presidential candidate Bob Dole, who told "CBS Sunday Morning" that Gingrich was "very difficult to work with," and he hoped the former House Speaker would not become president.

More than 70 House and Senate members have endorsed Romney.
