Colorado public opinion is now of national interest -- that's because a nationally prominent polling institute will begin releasing regular surveys of Colorado public opinion, starting this summer.
The Quinnipiac University Polling Institute has added Colorado to its list of swing states, along with Iowa. Swing states are polled every six to eight weeks by live telephone operators calling a mix of land lines and cell phones.
The polling institute is based in Connecticut and regularly polls people nationwide and in the northeast. Other swing states already being polled by Quinnipiac include Pennsylvania, Ohio, Florida and Virginia.
