A Colorado Baker who was told he cannot refuse to make wedding cakes for same sex couples is speaking out.
"If it's a birthday cake I don't have any problem with that. My issue is I don't want to be forced to participate in same sex weddings," says Jake Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cake Shop in Lakewood.
Phillips' attorney argued in court that he is opposed to same sex marriage on religious grounds, and forcing him to make the cake violates his constitutional rights.
The court did not agree, and ruled that Colorado's anti-discrimination laws do not allow a business owner to deny selling a product or service to same sex couples.
