(AP) - Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann is brushing aside polling numbers showing her trailing badly in Iowa, saying "I think we're perfectly situated to be where we want to be."
The Minnesota Republican tells CBS's "The Early Show" she believes people are "going to be shocked on Jan. 3 when we see the results" in Iowa. She concedes former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is in a hot streak, but says "two weeks can be an eternity" in the presidential campaign.
Bachmann appeared Tuesday as campaign rival Mitt Romney awaited an endorsement from former Vice President Dan Quayle.
Bachmann calls the GOP race "a political Wall Street," with candidates' stock rising and falling. She says both Romney and Gingrich supported "Obamacare" and accuses Romney of flip-flopping on "life" issues. Bachmann also says that both Romney and Gingrich "have significant flaws."
