Barack Obama has a special wish for his 47th birthday, which he celebrated with hundreds of friends and other admirers Monday in Boston.
The wish: "Indiana, Colorado and Virginia."
That was Obama's answer to a question from Senator John Kerry about what Obama wanted for his birthday. The reference was to three potential swing states that Obama hopes to win in November.
About 850 supporters attended last night's private fund-raiser at a downtown skyscraper overlooking Boston Harbor.
A dinner ticket cost $15,000 per individual, or $28,500 for a couple.
Obama was serenaded first by singer Harry Connick Junior and his 10-year-old daughter, Kate, and then by the entire room in an animated rendition of "Happy Birthday."
