The presidential debate over presidential debates is starting to get some attention as the candidates stump for support.
Republican John McCain holds a town hall meeting in New Jersey Friday and says he'd like to see debates with Democrat Barack Obama use that format.
McCain told a New York City town hall audience Thursday that it would have been more interesting with Obama there. McCain has invited Obama to join 10 town hall appearances over the summer. McCain has suggested the questioners be selected by an independent polling agency, however, that was not the case Thursday. His audience included high-profile McCain supporters and others culled from the candidate's e-mail list.
Democrat Barack Obama campaigns in Ohio Friday. He says he prefers a mix of formats. But he also says he has too much campaigning to do to take part in 10 town-hall meetings with McCain.
