Republican John McCain is attacking Barack Obama on the Democrat's own turf -- Chicago.
McCain accuses Obama of inexperience and reckless judgment for saying Iran does not pose the same serious threat to the United States as the Soviet Union did in its day.
Speaking at the restaurant industry's annual meeting, McCain said such a statement from Obama shows inexperience and reckless judgment. The Arizona senator calls those "very serious deficiencies for an American president to possess."
Obama responded to McCain at a town hall rally in Billings, Montana, saying he thinks Iran is a grave threat. But he says the Soviet Union posed an added threat, because it had thousands of nuclear weapons.
