Pelosi: Clinton, Obama Sharing Ticket Not Good Idea

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says a Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton presidential ticket isn't necessarily the way to go.

In an interview with CNN's Larry King, Pelosi says whoever wins the Democratic presidential nomination should be free to choose his or her own running mate. She says it's important that the candidate have a "comfort level" with the vice presidential candidate about how their campaign is conducted and how to govern the country.

Pelosi also says "there's plenty of talent to go around" in the Democratic party for either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton to choose from.

But Pelosi adds that if Clinton and Obama "think that it's a good ticket, maybe it is."

She also says she agrees with Democratic National Committee chairman Howard Dean that the nomination should be settled before the national convention.
