Clinton Assails Rivals On Iraq Plan

Hillary Rodham Clinton says she's the only presidential candidate who'll bring American troops quickly home from Iraq.

The New York Democrat is campaigning in Pennsylvania Wednesday. She told an audience near Pittsburgh that Republican John McCain is unwilling to withdraw troops from Iraq, and Democrat Barack Obama can't be trusted to do so.

Clinton says she's the only candidate who's "ready, willing and able to end the war."

The New York senator did not say exactly why she believes Obama won't bring most U.S. troops home within 16 months, as he has pledged. But a Clinton news release makes reference to a former Obama adviser who had said Obama might take longer to end the war if conditions were unfavorable.

During today's campaign swing, Clinton has been hitting two familiar themes: that she has the experience and the steeliness to be commander in chief.
