Sen. Barack Obama Comments On Edwards Meeting

Senator Barack Obama says he's spoken with John Edwards about how to move the Democratic Party "in a direction that focuses on middle class issues."

Obama commented to WITI-TV in Milwaukee Sunday night, hours after leaving reporters behind and flying to North Carolina for a secret meeting with his former rival.

Edwards has reportedly been torn over whether to back Obama or Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The former North Carolina senator is said to be concerned that Obama may not be ready for the presidency and that his health care plan is inferior. But during his campaign, Edwards was highly critical of Clinton's policies, her ties to special interests and her character.

An Obama spokesman won't comment on the possibility of an Edwards endorsement.

EDWARDS HAD LOTS OF SUPPORT HERE AND WOULD HATE TO SEE HIM ENDORSE MR.OBAMA. HILLARY CLINTONS HEALTH CARE PLAN IS AND OTHER ISSUES ARE MORE IN LINE WITH WHAT WE LIKED ABOUT JOHN EDWARDS.

How can John Edwards possibly endorse Hillary Clinton after all of the very negative remarks he made of her.Is he two-faced?

Barack Obama has my support. He is a breath of fresh air.I would like for him to look at the Voters Rights Act,instead of extended it make it permanent. The year 2031 it will up for renewal again.if the President does not sign it we will be under an aparthied voting system. Our civil rights movement has come to far for Black people to regress. Please make this one of your goals.

How can John Edward endorse Hillary Clinton. Especially after he claimed during his campagine that Clinton is part of the old Washington establishment.

I don't know why Edwards says he can't make up his mind. He seem to have been so haesh all Hillary's idealogy during the debate. So now its so difficult! I personally believe he's waintg to see if he can get the best deal! The Clintonswill promised him the sky to get his delegates (in my opinion) because they are so desparate! I personally think he's leaning towards the Clintons. That's his perogative, after all, this is USA- any thing goes. What's the hold-up?
