Police are still working to determine the relationship between a shooting and a later disturbance at an area hospital, which led to the tasing and arrest of one man.
A 23-year-old woman was dropped off at a Colorado Springs hospital early Sunday morning with multiple gunshot wounds. Police tell 11 News the arrestee is not a suspect in the shooting, but have not pieced together why he was at the hospital.
According to police, the man was refusing to answer officers' questions, eventually getting in a physical struggle with one officer. Police were forced the tase the man, then arrested him. His name has not been released.
Police have no suspects in the shooting, but believe she was shot in the street around the 3600 block of E. Fountain in Colorado Springs. Police were searching Sunday for a vehicle thought to be carrying witnesses to the shooting. Both the vehicle and driver were located shortly before 2 p.m. No further information has been released.
For the safety of the victim, police are not releasing the name of the hospital she is recovering in at this time. She is in stable condition.
