A woman was rummaging through her car late Saturday night when a man came up to her, aimed his gun and threatened to kill her.

Police say the incident happened in the parking lot at the Residence at Austin Bluffs Apartments in Colorado Springs. The 23-year-old victim was hanging out with friends at the time and had gone out to the parking lot just after 11 p.m. to get things out of her car when the suspect approached. She told police that the suspect demanded she hand over her belongings, then began cursing at her and threatening to shoot.

The victim was able to run away, and was not injured.

The suspect has been described as a black male in his late 20s, 6-foot-1 with a medium build, wearing dark-colored clothing and a ski mask over his face.

If you have any information on his whereabouts, call CSPD at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.
