A woman was by herself Wednesday night when police say two people broke into her home and assaulted her.

One of the suspects, 35-year-old Joseph Reyes, was arrested near the apartment complex. Police say the second suspect is still at large.

According to police, the assault happened just after 9:30 p.m. at the Stone Brook Terrace Apartments on Tappan Circle, near Academy Boulevard and Palmer Park Boulevard in Colorado Springs. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The second suspect in the assault, identified as 27-year-old Ashley Peterson, is reportedly the sister of the victim's ex-boyfriend. Authorities have not released a suspect description, but say she left the area on foot. Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call CSPD at 444-7000 or Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

Police say charges are pending for Peterson; Reyes faces charges for DUI and burglary.
