Investigators believe that one suspect is responsible for four armed liquor store robberies committed Wednesday in Colorado Springs. Now, they're asking for the public's help identifying him.
CSPD has released surveillance photos of the suspect taken during one of the robberies in hopes that the public will recognize him.
Bob's Liquor on North El Paso Street, Oddones Liquors on North Union Boulevard, Quart House Liquor on Palmer Park Boulevard, and Platte Liquor on East Platte Avenue were robbed at gunpoint. Police believe the same suspect is responsible for all of those crimes.
In all four of the robberies, the man entered the store with a shotgun and demanded money. He was able to escape each time with the cash.
In the Quart House Liquor robbery, the suspect was described as wearing a gray hooded jacket, white t-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. The suspect was also wearing a black ski mask. The suspect was described as being about 5-foot-10 with a medium to heavy build, race and age unknown.
A white or gray Mitsubishi sedan was seen in the parking lot while the suspect was approaching the store.
The business owners were not injured.
In the robbery at Platte Liquor, the suspect has been described as a black man in his 20s, 6-foot-1 and thin. He was wearing a gray or white sweatshirt at the time of the robbery, and sported a mustache.
Based on the description available from the Oddones Liquor Store robbery, the suspect is a 6-foot male with a medium build, wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, a black stocking cap and a black balaclava during the robbery. His race and age are unknown.
Police have not provided a description of the suspect in the Bob's Liquor robbery, but say they do believe it is the same suspect.
If you know anything about the crimes or the suspect, call CRIME STOPPERS at 719-634-STOP. You can remain anonymous.
Police consider this suspect armed and dangerous.
