The Vectra Bank in Pueblo was robbed Friday afternoon. Pueblo police believe the brazen robber also hit two other banks earlier in the week.
The Vectra Bank is located at 1250 West U.S. Highway 50.
Pueblo police say the suspect used the same paper for his note, and the note bore the same lettering as in the two earlier robberies. He also matched the same description.
On Monday the man robbed the Sunflower Bank at 1715 S. Pueblo Boulevard. On Thursday, he hit the ENT Credit Union at 305 West 5th Street. [More on those robberies.]
The suspect is described as a white male, 5-foot-5 with a shaved head, an earring in his left ear, and a scar on his cheek. In each robbery he has worn a black hooded sweatshirt, but rather than concealing his face with the hood, removes it during the robbery. The gesture, indicating he doesn't care if his victims see his face, is why police describe him as "brazen."
The suspect has carried a black bag in each robbery and fled on foot.
Police are optimistic that this could be his last robbery because the bank's surveillance system took very clear photos of him this time. They're working to disseminate those photos to the media now.
If you have any information regarding any of these bank robberies, you are urged to call Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP (542-7867) or visit www.Pueblocrimestoppers.com. Your information could earn you a cash reward.
