Two teens were arrested early Tuesday morning after police say they assaulted a man and stole his firewood.
On Monday around 4 p.m., a man was parked outside Galley Discount Liquor at 4311 Galley Road selling firewood when he was approached by several males in a red Ford Aerostar with white horizontal stripes.
The driver, a Hispanic male, stayed in the car. Five black males got out of the vehicle and approached the victim. They asked how sales were going and he told them he hadn't made any money. The suspects then demanded money from the man.
The victim told police that the suspects made him nervous so he started backing away from them toward the liquor store. The suspects surrounded him and one of them hit him in the face.
Another suspect grabbed some firewood and took off in the truck.
Then around 2:15 a.m., an officer on patrol saw a vehicle matching the description of the suspect car in the 4200 block of Morley Drive. The officer stopped the car and arrested two occupants, and further arrests are anticipated.
Police arrested 18-year-old Steven Enlow, and a juvenile male.
